Getting good grades isn't really something Holden Caulfield has in mind, considering he is failing in, "'four,'"(pg. 14) classes, but he, "'passed English all right.'"(pg. 14). In this book Holden Caulfield spends some time outside of school and examines the behavior of human nature. I thought the passive tense the author used made the book seem even more real, since the main character is mostly just observing the world around him. Any book can give someone an insight into a new perspective, but I think The Catcher in the Rye gives insight to a new perspective that you can't find in most books.

Lol I love the picture. And love that you are blogging about books. That's awesome. I was doing it for a while but it's so easy to not have time for stuff you want these days! Keep it up!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I tried blogger for a while, but I think I'm going to reorganize and put my blog on Wordpress. It gets more updates and its easyer for people to look at the blogs.
